Clearing the Fog
Einstein is reported to have said we only use ten percent of our brain. I googled this and most websites said that the "ten percent" myth was completely untrue. I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed, because the last few weeks I feel as if my brain has reached capacity. I was hoping there was some reserve that I could use.
The last few weeks I feel as if I'm in a fog. I'm usually a very organized person who completes work competently and timely, but lately my mind won't settle. One minute, I'm thinking of work, the next I'm wondering about my blog, my family, or what I'm going to have for supper.
I'm hoping that this is just a phase, and that I'm able to get my act together soon. My work load has increased at my employment and the semester is cruising along. There seems to be little time for lollygagging or daydreaming.
So, the fact that I don't have a large percentage of my brain just waiting for me to tap makes me sad. Apparently, I'm just going to have reach deep down and center myself so that I can accomplish all the tasks in front of me. Maybe, I'll try yoga.

I know it helps me when I step back sometimes and relax. It may seem impossible when there is so much work to do, but it helps me. You may want to try it because I stepped back last weekend and felt renewed all week.
ReplyDeleteYoga is AWESOME!! It's hard, but for an hour and a half, you can clear your mind and get energized for the workload ahead.
ReplyDeleteMaybe all those solar flares are affecting you. I'm feeling the same way!
